Flower Pot bench DIY

Flower Pot bench DIYMy clever husband came up with this wooden bench to hold my flower pots next to our deck so we don't have to have stains on the deck from the pots leaking.  I am so grateful for this new project.  I think it worked out very well and works for our pots perfectly and he also added the see through wire railing on our lower deck to match our upper deck (which I will post soon).  Here is the process and below that will be the instructions:

Outdoor Wall Art Using Wine Barrel Ring and Live Edge Wood

This beautiful piece of live edge wood was in our garage for about a year I and wanted to make something to hang on a large blank wall on front deck of our house. After painting the mountain on it I found a wine barrel ring stored in the shed so my husband put the two together.  It turned out to be a perfect accent to our front deck!

Goin' Coastal

It's springtime and I just can't resist sharing one of the most unique towns on the coast of Washington. Seabrook Washington.
This small out of the way town has grown from a forest to a thriving town all it's own in just a few years!  Perfectly nestled along a quiet stretch of the ocean it is a dramatic change of scene.  It has charming little shops, restaurants and many vacation rental homes of all sizes.

Sea Glass Votive Tutorial

I collect real seaglass and use it for jewelry, wreaths, wall hangings and decorating,  I love the simplicity of this sea glass votive using seaglass looking glass from the Dollar Store.  The process is simple, but the results are so pretty.
Finished Sea Glass Votive

I purchase the bags of sea glass looking nuggets and the clear glass votive from the Dollar Store:

Sea Glass Bag and Glass Votive from the Dollar Store
Glass laid out on work surface

Use Hot Glue or to attach each piece of glass
After adding each piece of sea glass in random colors, fitting them like a puzzle with a bit of space between each.  The light will shine through the glass.

Add a small tea light or electric tea light in the bottom,  I tied two strands of cord around the votive as a final touch.  I get many compliments on the finished piece.
Diy Porch Couch
